[voice] 3rd grievance.

[The SFC clicked on and for a few moments there was nothing said or seen. The only thing that could be heard was the occasional sizzle of what sounded peculiarly like a frying pan and a softly cursed 'mon dieu'.]

...bad time to ask, I know. But has anyone spoken with my idiotic brother lately? Or Mister England for that matter?

[He sounded a bit tired and worried, but gave away nothing more than that.

...yeah. He's also in your kitchen, Iceland.]

action; ...he and Al were going to go pick out a cat;; oops.

[Normal rules and logic did not apply it would seem. Not that he really expected the to fully apply, anyway, given the nature of the world and all.]

S- sorry. I didn't mean to. [He figured that if he was starting to sound like Norway that it wasn't a good thing. It wasn't as if he was purposely trying to tell him what to do but more of just... offering suggestions that probably sounded like he was going to make him do so. Which really wasn't his intent in the end. He just... sometimes had trouble expressing that once he got on a roll.]

Re: action; poor guy ;;

[Just being in Vatheon made it seem like the world back home was a logical place.]

No, um, it's alright.. [On some level it was... comforting. Not like he could admit that at all, even to himself, really, but he hadn't meant it as a complaint or anything, merely stating the fact.] Don't apologize over it.

[If Canada'd actually insulted Iceland at all, he wouldn't have compared him to his brother anyway.

He looked over at the variety of things Canada was cooking, wondering how he managed to do it. And, obviously, enjoying the smell of it all.]

action; he'll get one yet still. it's in his plans.

[identity profile] vimyridge.livejournal.com 2011-01-19 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
[That, in itself, is a bit of a scary thought, too.]

S- sorry. I wasn't sure if it was meant as a good or bad thing. [And he simply wanted to be careful and all. And sometimes he could come across as a bit pushy without actually meaning to.]

Anyway, breakfast's about ready. I just need to finish up the omelette.

[Lucky for him (or unlucky), Canada had chosen to cook a variety of food. It was more than just pancakes as he had some eggs and Canadian bacon as well. There was also coffee on, as it was an important part of any breakfast.]

action; that'd be so cuute.

[identity profile] islandnation.livejournal.com 2011-01-21 01:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Just.. an observation. [Iceland himself wasn't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing, but that was another can of fish. And as far as Ice knew, Canada couldn't be pushy if he wanted to.]

Oh, okay. [It was an impressive amount of food, and all smelled delicious. He felt like he was in some late-night TV show or something... but that was probably because he watched so many foreign shows from Canada and America.]

action; the kitty and mr. puffin can be best friends.

[identity profile] vimyridge.livejournal.com 2011-01-21 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[Canada's idea of being pushy included adding the word 'please' after everything. And maybe raising his voice just a tiny bit.]

What would you prefer to drink? [He had a choice of milk, orange juice, and coffee. Though if none of that suited him, he could probably go find something else quickly.]

action; until the kitty thinks he looks like a playtoy or something. but in the long run, probably.

[identity profile] islandnation.livejournal.com 2011-01-21 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[...Poor Canada.]

Coffee sounds fine.

action; until the, mr. puffin'll probably consider kitty a playtoy....

[identity profile] vimyridge.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
[One day he'll learn. Maybe. ...probably not. He'll just continue being far too polite.]

Cream or sugar? [He was in the middle of pouring the coffee when he asked.]

action; hopefully (probably) sooner than it will take iceland to admit he cares about his family...

[identity profile] islandnation.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
[Probably. It was at least better than the opposite.]

A bit of sugar. Thank you.

action; that puffin's way smarter...

[identity profile] vimyridge.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
[That is true. He could be much more like America, after all.]

Sure thing. [Adding a bit of sugar, he stirred it in and brought it over, setting the cup in front of him.] If you'd like more, let me know.

[From there, it was just putting food on the plate. ...which was pretty decent-sized. Ta-da.] Bon appétit.

action; naturally. ;]

[identity profile] islandnation.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
[That he could. The world would be a very different place with two Americas running around.]

Alright. [He sipped it, and it tasted quite good.

The assortment of food was a bit overwhelming, almost.]

Takk. [He waited, though, for Canada to get some food as well.]

action; he's probably the brains of the operation~ XD

[identity profile] vimyridge.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
[The world would be pretty much doomed if there was more than one America. One is sometimes more than enough, anyway.

It took him a moment or two to realise that Iceland was waiting for him. Looking a bit embarrassed, he quickly fixed himself a plate and sat down.]

action; He's the logical one, and Ice is the emotional one. As much as he tries not to be XD

[identity profile] islandnation.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
[Iceland then felt it was alright to start eating, and started with a pancake. He awkwardly poured some syrup onto his plate to go with it.]

It's delicious. Compliments to the cook.

action; they balance each other out~

[identity profile] vimyridge.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
[Even if he looked quite pleased, he was still blushing a tiny bit at the compliment.]

Thank you, eh. I think the fresh ingredients help things, too.

action; exactly. There's probably a trope for that somewhere.

[identity profile] islandnation.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Fresh? Even down here in Vatheon?

[If fresh produce never seemed to survive well being transported above water... surely they didn't grow everything in the forest or something? Another probably-unsolvable mystery of Vatheon. But it did taste good.]

action; i might have to look. maybe.

[identity profile] vimyridge.livejournal.com 2011-01-22 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
W- well, yes. Fresh enough, I'd imagine. [There's also that little fact that it never seems to be in short supply. Who knows. Maybe it really was magic.]

action; me too. perhaps. but that site is dangerous while i still have exams xD;;

[identity profile] islandnation.livejournal.com 2011-01-24 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[He pondered that for a moment, wondering if he offended Canada somehow.] Just... weird. But it's not like you can complain about it or anything.

[It was a useless battle, Iceland found, to stop trying to make sense of the place. He continued to eat.]

action; it steals your soul and never gives it back.

[identity profile] vimyridge.livejournal.com 2011-01-24 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[It was quite hard to offend him. ...sometimes. But even so, he was hardly offended.]

Nothing truly is normal around here, right? We just make it seem so.

action; more accurately i think, TV Tropes Ruins Your Life.

[identity profile] islandnation.livejournal.com 2011-01-25 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Mm. [As much as he likes to pretend otherwise. But as far as being kept prisoner went, he felt it wasn't too much of a price to pay, to be honest.]

[ooc; Iceland, you suck at conversation orz]

action; that's probably a better description.

[identity profile] vimyridge.livejournal.com 2011-01-26 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
[He figured that it could always be worse. Then again, many things could always be worse and he really didn't want to think about that. It made the whole thing less pleasant.]

How is everything?

[ooc: it's okay, Iceland. Canada's fine with no conversation. As long as it's a comfortable silence.]

action; :P

[identity profile] islandnation.livejournal.com 2011-01-26 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Everything tastes great. I really hope it wasn't too much trouble to cook..

action; sob. my life will never be the same. thanks tvtropes.

[identity profile] vimyridge.livejournal.com 2011-01-26 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
T- thank you. [A warm smile accompanied his words.] None of it was too much trouble at all.

action; ikr. so so many hours of my life, gone.

[identity profile] islandnation.livejournal.com 2011-01-26 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
No problem. [He nodded, a ghost of a smile on his face as well. And then more awkward silence. Well, awkward as far as Iceland was concerned.]

action; i fear what it does with all those hours from everyone it steals.

[identity profile] vimyridge.livejournal.com 2011-01-27 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
[He seemed to be content enough and in good spirits. Plus, he didn't seem to feel that awkward at all. Not fully, anyway.]

So how have things been going?

action; it makes one wonder, certainly...;;;

[identity profile] islandnation.livejournal.com 2011-01-28 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Thing's've been okay. I found my own place and all. [It was big enough that he'd closed off half the rooms of the house to make it seem more.. like a home, but he had wanted to try living somewhere other than an apartment. The never-ending stream of ghosts hadn't really helped the move, but at least he had places to try to hide from them.]

And yourself?

action; maybe it's powering some evil machine.

[identity profile] vimyridge.livejournal.com 2011-01-28 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
[Smiling lightly, he gave him a slight nod.] That's good to hear. Have you been settling well enough? [Since, you know, it's sometimes hard to do with all the weird things that have been happening lately. It puts a bit of a damper on things.]

As for me, I'm re-settling back in, I guess. [Which was a bit vague of a statement, but it made sense to him.]
